Live Like A Local In Amsterdam – Stay On A HouseboatTwisting my arm to go to Amsterdam is not very hard. I love the place, but having been there several times, finding something new to do on our recent trip was on the agenda. "Why not stay on a houseboat?" one of my travelling companions eagerly offered. "Can you stay on a houseboat?" I asked. As it turns out, you can and right in the heart of Amsterdam.
Things To Do In Moscow, RussiaI loved Moscow! I'll be honest, I was a little nervous after reading and hearing about things that could happen, but all I found was a beautiful city just waiting to be explored. Seeing St Basil's Cathedral as I walked into the Red Square simply took my breath away. The Moscow Metro stations are like museums...then there's the citizen taxis. Moscow is definitely one of a kind.
Touring The Great Wall Of ChinaA destination always high on my 'To Do' list was the Great Wall of China. It had always fascinated me and for no particular reason. I have just always wanted to see it. With ordering food in China proving to be an epic adventure in itself let alone trying to find a Great Wall, a tour appeared to be a carefree option.....or was it? Skiing in Queenstown, New ZealandThere's nothing like the cool, crisp air flowing through your hair as you ski down a snow covered mountain against the backdrop of a blue sky. With the cost comparable to skiing within Australia, the dollar in our favour and flights now directly available from Australia to Queenstown, it's worth it just for the adventure and the chance to visit another country.
Universal StudiosSo what had changed at Univeral Studios since 1992? The 'Back To The Future' ride had come and gone and 'Honey, I've Shrunk The Kids' had morphed into 'Shrek - The 3D Adventure' but otherwise it was still as great as I remember. I haven't had that much adrenalin pumping through my body since going on rides back in ... well ... 1992!
